| Jobs not in the classified Service. Entry-level legislative position performing financial and compliance audits of State agencies. We are looking for applicants who have a B.S. in Business Administration/Accounting with a desire to sit for the CPA examination and obtain the 150 hours required for licensure. Our starting pay for an Auditor I position is $28,500.00 - $35,000.00 depending upon educational background, certifications, and work experience. Some travel may be required to State agencies located outside of Charleston -- personal and family responsibilities are taken into account when making travel assignments. We also provide opportunities for interested employees to take CPA coaching courses (a $3,000 value). All employees are members in the State’s retirement system and eligible to participate in the State’s health insurance plans. The West Virginia Public Employees Insurance Agency charges reasonable rates for family health insurance. Annually, employees receive approximately 14 paid holidays, 18 days of sick leave benefits and earn a minimum of 15 vacation days. Employees are required to work 35 hours per week with daily flex-time office hours.
