WELCOME TO THE CITY OF WEST HOLLYWOOD'S APPLICATION PROCESS!
An Equal Opportunity Employer

We invite you to watch "No Place Like West Hollywood".  It's not your typical recruitment video.

You can now apply online by clicking on the job title you are interested in and clicking on the "Apply" link! If this is the first time you are applying using our online job application, you will need to create an account and select a Username and Password. After your account has been established, you can build an application by clicking on the "Build Job Application" link. This application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening.

This is a secure site. Only authorized City employees have access to the information submitted.

  • If our current openings do not include jobs you are interested in at this time, you may complete a job interest notification request. There are two ways to do this. For specific positions, go to Request job notification by class title and follow directions at the top of the page. For general job categories, go to Request job notification by job category
  • To check the status of your application, click here, login, and go to the 'Application Status'.
 Selection Process
Your application is the primary tool we use to evaluate your job qualifications. Review the application carefully to ensure all information is clear and accurate. Make sure you list each position separately, even if it is for the same employer.

List and explain all periods of unemployment in the provided space. Resumes may be included but will not substitute for the employment history section. In addition, please ensure that you complete the supplemental questions if applicable, before submitting your application. Failure to submit a complete application will result in the rejection of your application.

Based on the application screening, those candidates with the most relevant qualifications will be invited to an oral interview. Depending upon the recruitment, additional testing may be required.

Persons requiring special accommodations may contact the Human Resources Department at (323) 848-6860.

Application materials sent via fax (323 848-6568) must be received by the closing deadline.

Postmarks will not be accepted.

All applicants will receive a letter confirming receipt of their application.

Thank you for your interest in working with the City of West Hollywood.
