1. You must apply online by clicking on the job title you are interested in and clicking on the "Apply" link.
If this is the first time you are applying using our online job application, you will need to create an account and select a Username and Password. After your account has been established, you can build an application by clicking on the "Build Job Application" link. This application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening.

2. VTA Job Postings can be closed as soon as an appropriate applicant pool is established. We, therefore, encourage you to apply as soon as possible for positions of interest to you.
- This Eligible List may be used to fill more than one position. Eligible Lists typically remain in effect for six (6) months. However, Eligible Lists may be abolished by Human Resources at any time during the six (6) month period. Eligible Lists may be extended by Human Resources up to two (2) years.
3. Applicants for employment must be willing to be fingerprinted for the purpose of obtaining "Summary Criminal History Conviction Information" from State and Federal record agencies.
4. All job applicants selected for appointment to non-safety sensitive VTA positions are subject to pre-employment drug testing. A final job applicant will be tested for five prohibited drugs (and their metabolites): cocaine, PCP, amphetamines, marijuana, and opiates. Applicants for safety sensitive positions are subject to more stringent testing requirements. The specific requirements appear in the Typical Qualifications section of each job posting.
