Welcome to the Ventura County Human Resources website. County jobs currently open for recruitment can be accessed below by either scrolling down alphabetically or by selecting job categories or key words.

To apply - scroll down and click on the title of the job posting you are interested in and click on the "Apply" button to enter your information.This is a fully secure site. 
 
Attention First Time Applicants: You must create an account with governmentjobs.com before you can apply for posted positions. To do this, click on a job posting title, click "Apply", then click the word "Here" in the first paragraph and it will take you through the registration process. Important - each user must have their own individual email account to register. This registration is not an application. You must then go back to the "Employment Opportunities" and pick a title and again click on "Apply."  If you have application login problems or get an error message during the application process, please call NeoGov help line for assistance at 1- (888) 636-4681.

*** We do not accept resumes in lieu of our fully completed application form. *** Applicants must provide sufficient information in the Work Experience and/or Education portions of the application to determine qualifications. A resume may be attached to supplement your responses to the application and supplemental question sections; however, it may not be substituted in lieu of the fully completed application form.

Some positions require Supplemental Information. If a Supplemental Questionnaire is required, the questions will appear near the end of the online application process. To view them ahead of time, click on the "Supplemental Questions" tab on the job announcement page.
 
*** Important Information: It has become necessary for Ventura County Human Resources to shorten recruitment times for clerical and fiscal positions, sometimes to as little as 1-2 days, due to the high volume of applications.  In order to be notified of recruitments, please fill out an Interest Card by clicking on the Job Description tab, then click on the job description title that interests you, click on "Email me when jobs like this become available" tab, and submit your information.
