Veteran's Preference Points: Veteran’s preference points will be applied in accordance with the Civil Service Rule 24. A copy of the DD214 form must be filed at the time of application. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the application is received by 5:15 p.m., on the final filing date.Prior to appointment, candidates must pass a departmental interview, personal background investigation (consisting of, but not limited to criminal history, DMV driving history, credit check, previous/current  employment references, and personal references), polygraph test, psychological examination, and medical examination, including drug screening.
