Posting extended through November 25, 2009. This position reports to the Manager of Data Modeling, Data Warehouse, Database, Business Intelligence, and Web in the Division of Information Technology Services. Performs advanced and/or supervisory computer systems analysis work. The Program Coordinator for Accessibility performs highly advanced consultative services and technical assistance work. Work involves establishing agency-wide accessibility standards to be used by agency staff, Enterprise staff and other governmental agencies to ensure that existing and new documentation is accessible. Performs technical support and web development tasks for the agency web sites. Works under minimal direction with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. |

Minimum Qualifications:
|
Education: Graduation from an accredited four year college or university. Experience: Five (5) years experience in systems analysis, design work, legal work, or communications in support of web accessibility and web development. Substitution: Education and experience may substitute for one another on a year-for-year basis. Travel: 5% Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA): Knowledge of: computer systems and technologies; data processing equipment and software; computer operating systems; various computer applications (JAWS, Zoom Text, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and Internet search engines); Web Development Tools (Ektron, DreamWeaver, Adobe); TEA programs; local, state and federal laws relating to accessibility. Skill in: facilitation; techniques and competencies; researching industry practices and benchmark information; planning and facilitating meetings and group problem solving; coordinating and solving problems; oral and written communications; web development and web technical support. Ability to: analyze systems and procedures; write and revise standards and procedures; communicate effectively; plan, assign, and/or supervise others; gather, assemble, correlate and analyze facts; devise solutions to problems; prepare concise reports; analyze and solve complex and difficult problems of accessibility; prioritize information and issues; manage and complete assignments within deadlines; develop effective data collection tools such as surveys, questionnaires and interviews; work effectively in teams; determine the tools and methods to help people interact productively with each other; use various computer applications (JAWS, Zoom Text, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and Internet search engines); organize and present information in a clear, concise manner. |

This job description is not an employment agreement or contract. Management has the exclusive right to alter this job description at any time without notice. Salary is dependent on qualifications. Positions exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will earn compensatory time off rather than overtime for hours in excess of 40 per week. May be required to work hours other than 8 to 5. May be required to work weekends and holidays.
