TEMPORARY SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD $11.93-$14.50/Hourly
Temporary unbenefited casual/seasonal workers are limited to working no more than 1,000 hours or 6 months full-time in a fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).
The City of Sunnyvale is currently recruiting for several School Crossing Guards in the Department of Public Safety. Be an important member of a successful team of individuals committed to the safety of school children in your community. School Crossing Guards work approximately 10-15 hours during the regular school year at designated locations in Sunnyvale assisting elementary and junior high school students. |

Minimum Qualifications:

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have any felony convictions
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with motorists and pedestrians

Application and Selection Process: Submit a fully completed City of Sunnyvale application and supplemental questionnaire to be considered for a position. The application and supplemental questionnaires will be reviewed on an on going basis and those applicants that best meet the needs of the department will be sent a Background Authorization Form to complete. This form authorizes the Department of Public Safety to begin the background investigation process. To facilitate filling these positions, interviews will be conducted whenever sufficient qualified applications are received. Successful completion of a background investigation, pre-employment alcohol/drug test and TB test is required prior to appointment.
