Sunnyvale Youth Basketball League (SYBL)
January 16 - March 13, 2010 (Saturdays)
$8.00 - $10.50 per hour
Note: Temporary non-benefited casual/seasonal workers are limited to working no more than 999 hours or 6 months full-time in a fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).
Basketball Official (referee/scorekeeper) positions are available for the Sunnyvale Youth Basketball League. This program serves kindergarten through eighth grade boys and girls from Sunnyvale and the surrounding areas. The games run on Saturdays, January 16 through March 13, 2010; shifts are available between the hours 8am to 6pm at various Sunnyvale school facilities. This program is a non-competitive league which encourages everyone to play and to learn the game. This is a City of Sunnyvale position. |

Typical Duties:
|
| The referee/scorekeeper positions require a working knowledge of basic high school basketball rules and the skills necessary to play basketball. Individuals must have the ability to officiate while instructing players in developing skills and understanding the rules of the game. Officials must be able to interact with parents and coaches during game days. |

Minimum Qualifications:
|
Ability to work with parents and coaches highly desirable. Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Any applicant under 18 is required to submit a work permit.
