Positions in this job class are responsible for processing and serving legal documents such as summons, witness subpoenas, garnishments, and citations in an assigned geographical area.
The starting hourly rate for this position will be $13.32 per hour. |

Examples of Duties:
|
- Receives, process and documents proper service of legal papers as prescribed by law, using a personal vehicle, to residents and businesses.
- Serve as bailiff on an as-needed basis to maintain order and to ensure the courts run smoothly.
- Perform such additional duties, with the required abilities and under the indicated working conditions and environment, as may properly be required of a position in this job class.

Minimum Qualifications:
|
| One year of related work experience preferably in law enforcement with POST certification, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. |

EQUIPMENT USED: (Illustrative examples) Personal vehicle, phone, maps, street guides, fax machine and firearm.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Extensive walking and standing for long periods, exposure to inclement weather, and exposure to verbal abuse and violent and hostile people.
