Stafford County's Office of Citizen Assistance and Volunteer Services is seeking motivated, reliable volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks. We have many volunteer opportunities for you to serve your community. You may be interested in assisting in our Administrative Building, the County Courthouse, Fire and Rescue, the Sheriff's Office or our Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities Departments.
Interested parties will need to visit www.co.stafford.va.us in order to download a volunteer application, job description and accountability statement. You can send the completed form(s) by mail, fax, email or come by our office in person to drop off. An orientation and trainings will be provided for those selected to participate in our Volunteer Program. This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.
Typical Qualifications:
A positive attitude and willingness to follow written or oral direction. Ability to work independently without direct supervision. Some volunteer positions require the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Supplemental Information:
Volunteers for the Sheriff's Office will be required to successfully complete a criminal history and fingerprint check.
