In this journey level class, incumbents work with project managers to develop procurement strategies and documents and negotiate the more complex fixed-price and cost-reimbursement contracts for materials and services. - A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in business administration or closely related field; AND two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in contracting at the journey level in a highly regulated industry or public agency; OR
- One (1) year of experience as an Assistant Procurement Contracting Officer with the County of San Diego.
Note: A combination of qualifying college level education and related professional level experience as described above, may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis.
