Psychiatric Resident $88.00 hourly

The County  is accepting resumes for part-time temporary Psychiatric Residents. Residents work at county mental health facilities, public health clinics, emergency rooms, schools, youth detention facilities and may provide forensic services to the courts. The Temporary Expert Professional - M.D., D.O. positions are exempt from the classified service and work for the County of San Diego as physicians for a specific period of time in other than a regular capacity. Malpractice Insurance: Pursuant to the provisions of California law, the County of San Diego, through its self-insurance program, provides coverage for its employees regarding malpractice and liability within the scope of employment. 

What you need in order to qualify:

Valid license to practice medicine in the State of California and valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate.

Graduation from a U.S. accredited medical or osteopathic school or foreign studies certification equivalent to a degree in M.D. or D.O. and enrollment in an ACGME accredited residency program in psychiatry.
