Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Under direction, plans, organizes, assigns, inspects and supervises the work of the various crews engaged in the maintenance and repair of Authority structures, facilities, equipment and infrastructure; and performs related duties as assigned.

 Examples of Duties:
1. Plans, organizes, assigns, inspects and supervises the work of the
various crews engaged in the maintenance and repair of Authority
structures, facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.

2. Participates in the selection and training of assigned trades and
maintenance personnel; establishes work priorities and routines
and assigns work to unit personnel.

3. Plans and evaluates the performance of assigned staff; establishes
performance requirements; monitors performance and provides
coaching for performance improvement and development.

4. Provides day-to-day leadership.

5. Participates in the preparation of operating budget
recommendations.

6. Provides technical assistance to staff.

7. Inspects buildings and facilities for maintenance and repair needs.

8. Responsible for carrying out the Authority’s safety program.

9. Confers with engineers and other staff regarding plans and
specifications for the maintenance of Authority facilities.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.

 Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent and six years of journey-level experience in one of the building construction trades, including two years of lead or supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Special Note: This position works in an agency shop environment and is represented by the Teamster Local 911.
