| Are you a Records Management Coordinator professional who has at least three years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the development and administration of comprehensive records management programs, preferably in a public agency? He/She will be involved in a full spectrum of projects, including planning, coordination and application of the Corporate Records and Information Management Program and a start- up document management program. |

| Examples of Duties: | |
| The Records Management Coordinator performs journey-level duties in the development, implementation and enhancement of an Airport-wide records management program both to ensure compliance with all legal requirements and to provide departments with an effective, easy-to-use process for maintaining and accessing information on Airport operations.
1. Plans, organizes all aspects of Record Management including proper use, storage, retention and destruction of information (hard copy and electronic formats). 2. Develops, implements and maintains policies and procedures for recording, indexing, filing and retrieving active records and the storage of inactive records. 3. Audits all stages of Records and Information Management Program and verifies all requirements. 4. Responds to public record requests. 5. Provides staff training and guidance in all aspects of Records and Information Management Program. 6. Performs special project assignments as directed. |

| Minimum Qualifications: | |
| Graduation from a college or university with a major in business or public administration or a closely related field; three years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the development and administration of comprehensive records management programs, preferably in a public agency;or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Certified Records Manager (CRM) preferred. | |

| Knowledge of:
1. Principles, practices, methods and techniques of document and records management programs. 2. Public Records Act and other local, state and federal laws relating to the maintenance, retention and release of a wide variety of documents. 3. Procedures, techniques and methods of document preservation. 4. Computer and database structures and programs applicable to records management programs. 5. The general functions of the Authority and associated records management requirements. 6. Documents storage and retrieval technologies, their uses and capabilities. 7. Standard office practices, procedures and equipment. 8. Correct English usage, including spelling, grammar and punctuation. Ability to: 1. Plan, organize, develop and administer an Authority-wide records management program to meet all applicable laws and regulations regarding the maintenance of public records. 2. Operate a personal computer with standard business software, including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications and other standard office equipment. 3. Analyze records management problems, reaching sound conclusions and recommending improved procedures, equipment and facilities. 4. Appraise with accuracy the value of and legal requirements regarding a wide variety of records and documents. 5. Organize work, set priorities and provide support to meet records management needs. 6. Exercise sound, independent judgment within established guidelines. 7. Maintain information and generate reports utilizing computer equipment. 8. Classify, index, process, file and retrieve a wide variety of materials under a comprehensive Airport records management system. 9. Prepare clear and accurate reports and other written correspondence. 10. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others encountered in the course of work. |
