Job Title: Public Safety Dispatcher
Salary: $15.18 - $21.58 Hourly

Public Safety Dispatchers are responsible for the receiving and computerized processing of emergency and non-emergency calls for service, including calls on 911 lines and non-emergency lines; and also for the radio dispatching of calls for service, tracking of unit location and status, and updating of field personnel with new information.

 Essential Job Functions:
Must possess good customer service, oral communication, numeric and reading skills. Ability to: work well with other employees, under pressure, and within procedural guidelines; work effectively with changing workloads, priorities, and interruptions; multitask and make quick decisions in emergency

 Education and Experience:
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED. Must pass an extensive background check, a required hearing and physical exam, drug screen, and a computerized battery of skills tests, including data entry and multitasking. Applicants must be willing to work various shift rotations, including nights, weekends and holidays.
