Welcome to San Juan County's application process! It is our hope that you find the procedure to be easily accessible. Before you proceed with your application, please read our tips below on how to file an application successfully. San Juan County requires that a separate application be completed for each position for which you are applying. Your application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening or for future job openings. Online applications are stored on a secure site, and only authorized employees and hiring authorities have access to the information submitted.

Okay, let's get started! It's easy to apply.
  1. 1. Select the job title that interests you. To view the job description or apply for the position, click on the job title.
  2. 2. Apply. After the position description appears, you have two options at the top right of the description: "Print Job Information" or "Apply."
  3. 3. Create an account. First time users will be required to select a user name and password. Once you are logged in, click on "To Apply for Position Title, Click Here".
  4. 4. Save your information. Proceed to the bottom of the page and scroll to the right to click the Save Work in Progress or Save and Proceed button. Your application will be saved so you can use the information to apply for another position today or in the future.
  5. 5. Acknowledgement. When you are finished, you will receive an e-mail acknowledging receipt of your application.


Tips for optimizing your opportunity for employment with San Juan County....

In the "Work Experience" section of the application form, please list all jobs held during the past 10+ years, including verifiable voluntary experience, starting with your present or most recent experience. Please be as specific as you can. Resumes are not accepted in lieu of completing the Work Experience section.

Please carefully review the minimum qualifications, skills and abilities, preferences and the "ideal candidate" description (if one is provided). Responses to the supplemental questions will be used in the selection process. Neatness, clarity of expression, grammar, spelling and the ability to follow instructions will be considered in evaluating your response. Resumes are not accepted in lieu of completing the Work Experience section.
