Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is recruiting for Mental Health Nurses to perform professional nursing duties in the care and treatment of mentally and physically ill patients on the Behavioral Health inpatient unit.

 Minimum Requirements:
License and Certification: Must possess and maintain a California Registered Nurse License and Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Write the BLS expiration date and RN license number and expiration date on the application.

Conditions of Employment
1) Mental Health Nurses I work under training conditions and must be promoted to Mental Health Nurse II upon receipt of a satisfactory work progress report and completion of 24 months experience or be terminated. 2) Must be available to work any shift, weekends and holidays. Shift differentials are provided. 3) On the locked psychiatric unit, the nature of the work requires the ability to receive training in and apply Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) techniques to protect oneself, restrain and control assaultive patients, and to assist with or apply restraints to secure patients to the bed. 4) On the hospital nursing floors, the work environment may involve exposure to assaultive and combative patients, and the ability to assist with or apply restraints to secure patients to the bed. 5) Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation and verification of employment history.
