How to Apply for Employment with the Sacramento Superior Court

 

Applying online is now easier than ever.
Scroll down to see our listing of current job opportunities. To apply online, simply click on the position you are interested in and click on the "Apply" link. Instructions on each screen will guide you through the process.

 

Filing Dates:
The filing period for Deputy Clerk job opportunities is through the listed filing date, or until the hiring supervisor deems an appropriate candidate pool has been recieved, whichever is sooner.

 

First time Applicants:
If this is your first time applying with our online application system, you will need to create an account that includes selecting a unique username and password. After your account is established, you can create an application by clicking on the "Create Application" link. You may create and store different versions of your application which can be used to apply for current and future positions. Transfer Opportunities:
To be eligible for transfer, an employee must:

  • Be a regular/permanent Court employee;
  • Meet the minimum qualifications for the position;
  • Be working in a permanent appointment in a classification for which the top step of the salary range is within 5% of the top step salary for the position to which you desire to transfer.
Transfer applicants are not required to answer supplemental questions. Transfer applicants should indicate “Transfer” in the required field as an answer to each supplemental question.

Eligible employees may apply for transfer into the job opportunities posted below as well as any job opportunity posted as a promotional opportunity.

Promotional Opportunities:
Certain job opportunities are available to only current, regular, Sacramento Superior Court employees. A list of these promotional opportunities is available here. If you are not currently a regular, Sacramento Superior Court employee, your application will not be condidered.

Supplemental Questions:
We recommend that you print a copy of the job description to help you prepare your answers for the supplemental questionnaire and to use as a reference in preparing for interviews. We also suggest creating and saving any text answers to the supplemental questions in a word processor and then copying and pasting them into the appropriate text box prior to submission of your application. Transfer applicants are not required to answer supplemental questions. Transfer applicants should indicate “Transfer” in the required field as an answer to each supplemental question. Candidates who are not eligible for transfer and who do not answer required supplemental questions will be disqualified from the application process.
