"OUR PEOPLE, OUR PATIENTS, OUR FUTURE"

ENJOY PROFESSIONAL SUCCESS AND A SATISFYING CAREER AS A REGISTERED NURSE WITH RIVERSIDE COUNTY REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER...

We have a (21) bed Pediatric Unit and (8) bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, providing a full range of Pediatric Services. We have (4) general pediatricians and (4) pediatric intensivists with a physician in-house, 24 hours a day.

 Examples Of Duties:
We cater to our pediatric patients and their families. We have a playroom with diversional activities for the patients, including a Video library, Nintendo library and several portable T.V. sets. We provide a place for parents to spend the night with their child. We have a separate treatment room for difficult or painful procedures and all pediatric intensive care rooms can be viewed from the nurse’s station. We also have a central monitoring system.

We have a wonderful nursing staff who really show they care about the patients they care for and each other. They work as a team not only on the job, but off the job, as well. They serve as a continuous patient advocate, realizing that children often are unable to speak for themselves.

Candidates are encouraged to obtain classes in pediatric advanced life support (Pals), basic pediatric course and pediatric coronary care class. These classes will be required within (9) months of employment in PICU.
