The Transportation Engineering Division seeks an experienced lead engineer to oversee the City’s Traffic Calming program. Experience in traffic operations, traffic safety, traffic signal operations and site plan analysis is desirable. The primary responsibility of the position is to oversee the City’s active traffic calming programs including several technical staff. This includes administering a traffic calming consultant contract. Working with citizens and neighborhood groups, and appearing before various City review agencies. Qualifications, Special Certifications and Licenses:

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree and over four years of traffic engineering experience. A Virginia P.E. is highly desirable. |
