The HR Division Chief (Benefits Administrator) in charge of Benefits Administration and Support Services manages and coordinates the planning, implementation, and administration of the City’s comprehensive benefits package, health insurance plans, wellness programs, occupational health program, employee assistance program and support services. Ensures cost-effectiveness, market-competitiveness, and consistency with the overall strategic plan and objectives of the Administration. Principally responsible for all compliance matters, including but not limited to COBRA, HIPAA, Records Retention, IRS regulations and other legislative rules that affect benefit matters.
The Benefits Administrator works collaboratively with internal agencies as well as external entities that are providers of the City’s various benefit programs. Works with the Director and Deputy Director to implement, monitor and evaluate initiatives and directives of the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer.
