· Manage municipal purchasing of supplies, materials, equipment and services. · Manage central duplicating and central store; evaluate the effectiveness of work operations and make recommendations as appropriate. · Develop division or program goals or procedures and/or assist senior management in the development of goals, objectives, and policies. · Prepare and review specifications; receive, open and publicly read bids, analyze bids and make recommendations on major purchases. · Review and approve purchase orders. · Declare and appropriately dispose of surplus property. · Perform analyses, collect data, prepare reports and make presentations to senior management, and occasionally to committees, commissions, and other bodies. · Prepare and maintain fixed asset records. · Confer with municipal officials regarding purchasing activities such as development of specifications. · Supervise, train and evaluate assigned staff. Perform related duties as assigned. |
