| PART-TIME PART-TIME PART-TIME PART-TIME The Police Department is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill current and future permanent part-time, grade X13, and temporary/seasonal, grade G06, School Crossing Guard positions. SALARY RANGE: $10.3366/hr - X13 - $9.9744/hr - G06 This is specialized work in the control of traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian, in conjunction with the movement of students to and from school. These positions require employees to be available to report to various school crossing areas in the County on short notice. Applicants MUST be able to work between the hours of 7:00a.m. - 9:30 a.m. & 1:45p.m. - 5:00 p.m. |

Examples of Work:

| Controlling vehicular and school bus traffic; controlling students to assure conformance to traffic regulations; reporting traffic hazards and flagrant traffic violations to the police. |

Minimum Qualifications:

| High school diploma or equivalent GED. Equivalent combination of training, education or experience will also be considered. |

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: - Must be at least 21 years old at time of appointment.
- Must pass vision and hearing test based on Police Department's standards.
- Must be willing to work in various locations within the County.
- Must be able to respond to a job site within thirty (30) minutes of being notified.
- Must have means of receiving and returning phone calls within ten (10) minutes.
- Must be willing to work in inclement weather and/or other adverse conditions.
- Must be willing and able to wear issued uniform.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
