Veterans' Preference eligibility has changed. Effective July 1, 2007 Operation Enduring Freedom (Oct 7, 2001 - present) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (Mar 19, 2003 - present) veterans will be eligible for preference. See F.S. 1.01(14) for more information. Additionally, F.S. 295.101 has been repealed and eligibility in the State of Florida is now perpetual, and no longer a single entitlement.
Pay for new employees typically starts at the bottom of the posted range, however consideration may be given depending on qualifications. Please be sure to view the "benefits" tab on the job description to see all of the other benefits of pursuing a career with Pasco County.
