The Intern Program can provide invaluable experience to individuals interested in a dynamic career in the legal environment.

Qualified candidates will have an opportunity to:

  • Fulfill college/university internship requirements.
     
  • Serve the community by working to support legal processes and procedures performed by the Superior Court.


LOCATIONS:
City of Orange, Santa Ana, Westminster, Fullerton, Newport Beach, and Laguna Hills. 

NOTE
ALL INTERNSHIPS OPPORTUNITIES ARE UNPAID.

 Example of Duties:
The interpreter internship program is currently being offered to college-level students enrolled in a legal interpretation program who are preparing for certification as a Court Interpreter.

Eligible students will have completed a minimum number of skill-based language lab work in sight translation, consecutive and simultaneous interpreting, as determined by the Court, before beginning their internship.

The interns will act under the direct control and supervision of the court through Court Reporter and Interpreter Services (CRIS) management. The court will provide student interns with appropriate training and orientation.

 Minimum Qualifications:
There are varied qualifications in coursework depending on your school's program. We will review and verify all qualifying applications for coursework.

What Now?

  • Be currently enrolled in coursework for interpretation.
  • Be prepared to submit proof of enrollment.
  • Be sure to you type your email address and contact telephone number correctly.

Then What?
  • You will receive notices via email after submission.
  • If accepted, you will be asked for documentation on course completion.
  • You will be required to complete a background check that includes fingerprinting.
  • Internship is expected to last up to 6 months.
  • If you are not accepted this round, you may re-submit after 3 months.
