Adult and Youth Sports Officials are responsible for refereeing or officiating at competitive sports events. Incumbents must possess a high level of knowledge of the rules and regulations assigned to particular sports and work without direct technical supervision. Additional Duties: Officiates at City sports and athletic events. Determines methods of play and interprets and enforces game rules. Maintains knowledge of recreation and sports event rules and regulations. Maintains order and enforces safety procedures for both participants and spectators during sporting events.
