| Work involves performing tasks necessary to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment. Location: Maritime Center/Nauticus, One Waterside Drive, Norfolk. Work hours: Operating hours from Labor Day to Memorial Day are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday Operating hours from Memorial Day to Labor Day are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday *Hours fluctuate and may include holidays, weekends, and evening hours. |

Essential Functions:
|
| • Performs frequent thorough cleaning of both public and private areas within the Maritime Center. • Maintains the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the facility including polishing, dusting, mopping, vacuuming and keeping areas free of litter. • Maintains cleanliness of all restrooms, ensuring each facility is stocked with supplies and all equipment is in good working order. • Empties trash receptacles, replaces liners and removes all collected materials to the designated area. • Interacts with guests in a friendly, helpful and positive manner. • Maintains thorough knowledge of all Nauticus facilities, exhibits, programming and policies. • Assists guests having special problems, questions or complaints. • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, lift from ground to above shoulder, climb, bend, stoop, sit, push, pull and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. |

Education/Experience:
|
| High School Dimploman or equivalent and 1 or more years experience in custodial/ housekeeping services. |
