Welcome to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County's application process!

Civil Service applications are ONLY accepted through our online INSIGHT system.

The application process is made easy by clicking on the job title you are interested in and clicking on the "Apply" link. Job Postings are listed at the bottom of this page.

If this is the first time to apply using governmentjobs.com, you will be prompted to register. It's free and only takes a few minutes. All you need is your own unique email address. If you do not have an email account, you can sign up for a free e-mail account on Hotmail.com, Yahoo.com, or AOL.com.

Each user must have a unique email address when setting up an account. We recommend using a personal email account and not a work email account. Do not share your email account with anyone.

After your account has been established, you can build an application by clicking on the "Build Job Application" link. This application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening.

Online applications are stored on a secure site. Only authorized employees and hiring authorities have access to the information submitted.

It is important that your application show all the relevant education and experience you possess. Do not skip work history information on the application or state "see resume" in work history fields. Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of application.

An incomplete application, missing documents, or false responses to questions may result in disqualification.
