| This recruitment will be used to fill various on call/temporary positions to serve on the H1N1 Influenza Education and Vaccination Teams. About the Team: One or more H1N1 Education and Vaccination Teams will be formed to conduct a variety of missions including: · Independently conduct H1N1 influenza vaccination operations; · Lead or augment vaccination teams comprised of volunteers and staff assembled by other organizations; and · Educate/train organizations conducting vaccination operations. The size and composition of individual teams will be adjusted to the desired productivity of the operation. Community Health Nurses function as members of health teams promoting good health practices, coordinating existing health resources and providing high-quality services. Community Health Nurses work with diverse clients from a variety of backgrounds. The H1N1 Team Nurses will work with various members and organizations in the community, such as; Colleges & Universities, Headstart Programs, Nursing and Assisted Living Homes, MESD and WIC. Office Professionals perform a wide variety of clerical and general administrative work including filing, coding and recording information. Has contact with the public, other agencies, clients and others by phone or mail to give, receive, or confirm information; perform duties in a professional manner, working effectively with a diverse clientele. May act as receptionist answering the telephone and assisting the public and clients; provides information and refers callers to appropriate personnel, and takes accurate messages. Prepares information and data, and prepares basic statistical reports utilizing computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation applications. Operates a wide variety of office equipment such as PCs, calculators, copying machines/readers, remittance processor, electronic cash register; use standard applications (spreadsheet, word processing, presentation software, etc.) to input, retrieve and present data and text. Support Positions may be available for data analysts, research assistants, and program development support professionals. Community Health Nurse: Experience: No experience is required. Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in community health nursing or a related field. License or Certificate: Possession of an appropriate and valid license to practice as a registered nurse issued by the State of Oregon. Office Assistant 2: Experience: Two years of general clerical experience, including experience working with clients and/or the public. Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade; one year of additional specialized clerical or business/vocational related training is highly desirable. Office Assistant Sr: Experience:Three years of specialized, increasingly responsible clerical experience in the area of assignment. Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. Additional specialized clerical training or training in business services/operations is desirable. Other Support Positions: Qualifications will be determined depending on the necessary classification. |
