RESPONSIBILITIES:
|
|
• Teach courses in undergraduate philosophy program. • Contribute to program and course development. • Participate in Philosophy Department activities. • Advise undergraduate students. • Standard teaching load is 24 credits per year. • Faculty are expected to engage in research and service. • Area of specialization is ethics and bioethics. • Teaching competence, in addition to area of specialization, in some of philosophy and diversity issues, environmental ethics, political philosophy, philosophy of religion, or ancient philosophy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
|
|
• Ph.D. in Philosophy. • Three years full time teaching experience. • Documented teaching success at college level.

• Demonstrated potential for research. • Preparation for teaching in areas of specialization and competence. • Breadth of teaching interests. • Experience teaching writing intensive courses. • Demonstrated commitment to diversity.
