Job Title: Systems Architect
Salary: $47,294.00 - $87,932.00 Annually

Technology Service Department - Operating with general supervision, this position is responsible for all aspects of information systems development including requirements definition, feasibility studies, system and database design, system specifications, prototyping, development, documentation, testing and performance tuning. All assigned tasks should be performed at a high level of quality and in accordance with the Technology Services Department standards, policies, procedures and guidelines.

 Typical Job Duties:
• Perform all tasks defined within the system development life cycle needed for customization of all court applications
• Produce high quality written products documenting functional requirements, test plans, user manuals and training guides
• Translate functional requirements to technical detail design specifications
• Record all information related to incidents, changes and problems in call logging software
• Code and test software according to specifications
• Provide post implementation support and user training as required
• Provide input and perform problem resolution including design change requirements and data integrity/correction.
• Assist in all major release and patch upgrades
• Perform application configuration tasks as required
• Function as a Project Manager or Senior Analyst for small projects
• Participate on project teams as needed
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

 Qualifications:
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Information Systems or Computer Science and five years of related experience; or any combination of education, training and work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this technical position
• Knowledge of current industry standards, commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the IT field
• Knowledge of system development methodologies
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or other Relational Databases including DTS modules, triggers and stored procedures
• Knowledge of computer programming languages; HTML/DHTML, XML/XSL, ASP, ASPX, .Net, VBScript, Visual Basic, C# and COM/COM+ desirable
• Knowledge of software tools and utilities including but not limited to Microsoft Project, Visio and Office
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively orally and in writing including comprehensive requirements, extensive test plans and presentations
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with effective logic and reason
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail required
• Effective interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic and professional demeanor are required
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public
• Work is performed with general supervision; requires initiative and independent judgment
• Ability to work and make decisions under pressure and meet all deadlines, goals and objectives as set forth
• Ability to effectively monitor performance objectives
• Demonstrate proficiency with operations and general care of the PC, printers and other required office equipment
• Ability to work off-hours as necessary

 Supplemental Information:
This position is required to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, flexibility and ability to work off-hours is required.

• Office: Majority of the time is spent sitting at the computer, remainder of the time is spent assisting in other functions
• Work from Home (if applicable): About 100% of the time is spent sitting at the computer
• This position requires sitting and working for prolonged periods of time at a computer
• This position may require bending and reaching for files
• This position may require going to other departments and/or offices on different floors and/or buildings throughout the day
• This position may require going to other agencies on different floors and/or buildings throughout the day
• This position may require occasional travel to other sites to review products, or attend meetings, seminars or classes
• Ability to use standard office equipment
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
