Welcome to UTOPIA's job application process.
You can now apply online by clicking on the job title you are interested in and clicking on the “Apply” link. If this is the first time you are using our online job application, you will need to create an account and select a Username and Password. After your account has been established, you can build an application by clicking on the “Build Job Application” link. This application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening.
UTOPIA was created by a collaboration of cities in Utah, and stands for Utah Telecommunication Open Infrastructure Agency. This open fiber network links multiple cities and fosters competition among communication service providers who offer Internet, television, telephone and other services, giving customers the freedom to choose their own service providers, the best prices and absolutely the best service.
Layton City is contracted by UTOPIA to perform UTOPIA’s Human Resource functions. UTOPIA positions will work out of UTOPIA’s office, which is located at 2175 South Redwood Road, West Valley City, UT 84119.
UTOPIA accepts only online applications. If you do not have access to a computer you may come to the Layton City Management Services office located at 437 North Wasatch Drive, Layton, UT 84041, between the hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
Online applications are stored on a secure site. Only authorized employees and hiring authorities have access to the information submitted.
It is important that your application show all the relevant education and experience you possess. Applications may be rejected if incomplete.
