| The position will be supporting a large DB2 database utilizing version 7.1 in a z/OS environment. >The duties may include but are not limited too: Problem resolution, database configuration, capacity planning and performance tuning; Provide support to application developers; Perform day to day database operations; Administer technical design, testing, and implementation of new databases; Define, document, and implement backup procedures. |

REQUIREMENTS:

| SELECTION REQUIREMENTS: Four years' systems analysis and design experience, including extensive experience supporting a large DB2 database utilizing version 7.1 in a z/OS environment, one year of which must have been in a highly responsible capacity at the level of Data Systems Analyst II, LACERA or EDP Programmer Analyst II, LACERA. LICENSE: A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions. PHYSICAL CLASS: 2 - Light. |

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: - Five or more years' of systems analysis and design experience including extensive experience supporting a large DB2 database utilizing version 7.1 in a z/OS environment.
- Demonstrated experience in migrating from a DB2 version 7 to version 8 or 9.
- Demonstrated experience working in a z/OS environment and related utilities.
- Demonstrated experience in JCL.
- Demonstrated experience in disaster recovery planning.
- Demonstrated experience in DB2 UDB.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple databases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
