Duties Summary:
|
| Installs, maintains and repairs water, drainage and sewer systems and all necessary fittings and accessories in public buildings and surrounding grounds; and performs other related duties as required. |

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
|
Training and Experience: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to completion of the eighth grade, and successful completion of apprenticeship training or five years of experience in plumbing work under a journeyworker plumber.
License Requirement: All positions require licensure as a plumber in the State of Hawaii.
Knowledge of: practices, tools, materials and equipment used in the plumbing trade; operation of plumbing systems and fixtures; occupational hazards and safety practices and procedures.
Ability to: Operate pipe cutting and threading equipment and plumbing tools; estimate material requirements; read and work from blueprints, plans, specifications and sketches; understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Health and Physical Condition Requirements: Persons seeking appointment to positions in this class must meet the health and physical condition standards deemed necessary and proper for performance of the duties. |
