Kind of Work:

| Responsible for proper janitorial and grounds maintenance of a Parish recreational facility. Participates directly or through subordinates in the performance of assignments such as stripping and waxing floors; cleaning, disinfecting and restocking lavatory facilities; and preparing and cleaning activity rooms for use by clubs or organizations; policing grounds and gymnasium for trash and debris; cutting and trimming all grassy areas of the playground. May assist in the preparation of the grounds for various athletic events, or activities. Employee is responsible for the safe storage of all supplies, tools and equipment; keep accurate records of stock; and requisitions supplies. Will assist the Recreation Center Supervisor in general playground supervision and other duties as required. |

Minimum Qualifications For Admission to Examination:
|
Completion of high school or the equivalent, PLUS, at least six (6) months of verifiable related work experience indicating ability to assume the duties and responsibilities of the position.
SUBSTITUTION: Sufficient, satisfactory college training may substitute for the required work experience.
NOTE: Any conviction involving sex offenses, offenses of violence, offenses involving the illegal distribution or use of drugs, or offenses involving moral turpitude are disqualifying unless written proof of pardon is submitted in time for consideration with the application. |

This examination will consist of a written test, weighted 100%. Written examination will test applicants knowledge in the following areas: reading Comprehension, Job Knowledge, Mechanical Skills/Abilities, Safety/First Aid, Public relations, Supervisory Practices, and Mathematics. Acceptable applicants will be notified of the time, place and date of the examination.
