Under the general direction of the department director, the purpose of the position is to assist in the overall management, supervision and administration of the Department of Jefferson Workforce Connection. Areas of responsibility include planning, budgeting, and staffing. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the department through subordinate supervisory personnel. Performs related work as required. |

Minimum Qualifications For Admission to Examination:
|
Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Business Education, or a closely related field; PLUS Five (5) years of administrative management and supervisory work experience. Experience must have included work in the areas of contract and budget formulation and monitoring as well as performance standard monitoring. Work experience must show knowledge in the use of personal computer and the use of databases, spreadsheets, and work processing programs. Possession of a valid Louisiana driver's license* and an acceptable driving record are also required. *NOTE: A valid driver's license issued by a state other than Louisiana is acceptable for application; however, once an employment offer is extended, an applicant has ten (10) days to obtain a Louisiana driver's license. Failure to obtain a Louisiana license will disqualify an applicant for permanent employment in this position. |
