Kind of Work:

Performs advanced and senior level professional engineering and managerial work requiring the application of extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in complex engineering work using advanced techniques and modifications. Areas of assignment include, but are not necessarily limited to, drainage, sewerage, water, streets, and general engineering. Performs related work as required.
One current vacancy is in the Drainage Department, and the other current vacancy is in the Engineering Department. |

Minimum Qualifications For Admission to Examination:
|
| Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or a related area; registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana with the Louisiana State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, and at least ten (10) years of post Professional Engineer work experience performing responsible professional engineering work. If Engineer-Professional registration is in another state, must obtain Louisiana Registration within six months of employment. |

This is a non-competitive examination. All applicants meeting the requirements will be issued a Employment Eligibility Letter and will be placed on a non-competitive employment list. This list of names will be forwarded to the director of the department in which the vacancy occurs.
