Welcome to Howard County's online application process!  Now you apply online for positions with Howard County Government by 4:59 p.m. on the closing date identified for each of our job listings.  You will not be able to submit your application online after that date and time.

First-Time Users

You will need to create an account and select a Username and Password. After your account has been established, you can build an application by clicking on the "Build Job Application" link. This application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening. You may view other Job Listings, check your Application Status, retrieve your Username and/or Password, or complete a Job Interest Card by simply clicking the appropriate button on the navigation bar to the left of this screen.

If you create your application FIRST, please remember to return to the Job Listings, select the job you are interested in and click the APPLY link.  You will need to complete steps 2 - 5 to certify and submit your application and receive confirmation of application received.

You must have an email address to complete your application. If you need one, we suggest opening an email account at one of the numerous free email services. Be sure to create an authentic email account.

It is important that your application show all your relevant education and work experience. Although you can stop at any point during the application process, we suggest having complete dates and numbers of your employment and certifications accessible. Resumes may be attached to support, but not replace a fully completed application. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
