Reporting Location: 4500 Will Clayton Parkway (subject to change)
Workdays & Hours: Shift work, including rotation, holidays and weekends (subject to change)
Performs repairs and construction of airport structures, streets, sidewalks, curbs, runways, taxiways, and walls. Builds and sets forms on projects according to specification or instructions. May install and arrange reinforcement steel or wire. Mixes cement and concrete by hand and operates a cement mixer to prepare concrete in accordance with specifications. Performs finishing work such as leveling concrete, rolling curbs and shaping drainage areas to proper grades and contours. Operates various hand tools and equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Performing these duties will involve: lifting, pulling, and pushing physical objects; expending physical energy for long periods; deep knee bending; climbing; reaching; stooping and walking; understanding spoken and written information; working in hot, cold, and noisy work places, may be required to lift or carry up to fifty (50) pounds, and be subjected to extreme temperatures and/or varied environmental fumes and odors; and driving city vehicles. Must be willing and available to work all shifts, including rotation; weekends and holidays. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearances. |

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
|
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to read, write, add, subtract and follow oral and/or basic written instructions as might normally be acquired through 9 to 11 years of formal schooling.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
One (1) year experience in cement finishing work.
MINIMUM LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Valid Class C Texas driver’s license and compliance with city’s policy on driving (AP 2-2). |

PREFERENCES:
|
| Prefer Class B Commercial Drivers License. Good knowledge of cement work, setting techniques, estimating usage and scheduling of work. Knowledge of all safety aspects related to cement mixing and finishing. |
