Summary of Duties:
|
| Duties Summary: Assists in planning, directing and coordinating the maintenance of all Judiciary complexes within a judicial Circuit, including the facilities of the rural courts; assists in coordinating the custodial and groundskeeping services; and performs other related duties as required. |

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Education Requirement: Graduation from high school. Excess experience of the type described below or work experience requiring the ability to read and comprehend and apply written directions or a high degree of verbal skill may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Experience Requirement: Except for the substitutions provided in this specification, applicants must have had progressively responsible experience of the kind and quality described below and in the amounts shown: | Class Title | Specialized Exp. (Years) | Supervisory Exp.(Years) | Total Experience (Years) | | Assistant Facilities Manager | 4-1/2 | 1-1/2 | 6 | | Facilities Manager | 5-1/2 | 1-1/2 | 7 | Specialized Experience: Work experience which demonstrated knowledge in one or a combination of the following types of work: 1. facilities management; 2. skilled trades or crafts experience in construction or maintenance projects of buildings which required the preparation and/or interpretation of plans, specifications and drawings, and the proper observance of safety measures, practices, methods, techniques, materials, costs, equipment and tools used in construction projects; 3. procurement of a variety of supplies and equipment which included cost comparisons; and/or 4. developing the capital improvement plans and executing the capital improvement budget for an agency. Supervisory Experience: Experience which included 1) planning and directing the work or others; 2) assigning and reviewing their work; 3) advising them on difficult problems areas; 4) timing and scheduling their work; and 5) training and developing new employees. Such experience must have been in the fields described in the Specialized Experience. Substitutions of Education for Experience: Study successfully completed at an accredited college or university in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering or architecture may be substituted for Specialized Experience on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of four (4) years. Quality of Experience: Possession of the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted proof of qualification for a position. The applicant's overall experience must have been of such scope and responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate that he/she has the ability to perform the duties of the position which he/she is being considered. |
