To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements: Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Progressively responsible administrative, professional or other analytical work experience which would provide knowledge, skills and abilities comparable to those acquired in four years of successful study while completing a college curriculum leading to a baccalaureate degree may be substituted for Education on a year-for-year basis. The education or experience background must demonstrate the ability to write clear and comprehensive materials such as reports and analyses; read and interpret complex written materials and solve complex problems logically and systematically. Such experience must have provided substantive knowledge of the concepts, organization, functions, methods and procedures of the air transportation facilities program. In addition, the work experience must have demonstrated the ability to independently carry out administrative professional assignments of progressive complexity consistent with the class level and to plan, organize, staff, direct and control the work of others. Qualifying Experience: Experience must have demonstrated knowledge of general principles of administration pertinent to air transportation facilities programs and knowledge of the basic principles of supervision. It must also have demonstrated the ability to perform staff studies of significant scope and complexity. Non-Qualifying Experience: Clerical, laboring and trades work experience or supervision of clerical, laboring and trades operations per se, although the work may have been concerned with the air transportation facilities program, is not qualifying. Substitution Allowed: A master's degree from an accredited college or university which included responsibility for reviewing, evaluating and preparing research papers may be substituted for six months of Specialized Experience. License: A valid driver's license is required. Federal Transportation Security Administration Requirement: In accordance with Federal regulations, persons who are being considered for employment in positions which require unescorted access to secured areas at the airport must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint-based criminal history record check.
