| Duties Summary: | |
| Manage all commercial and small boat harbors and related facilities in a harbors district located in a neighbor island county; and perform other related duties as assigned. | |

Your possession of the required amount of experience will not in itself be accepted as proof of qualification for the position. Overall paid or unpaid experience must be of such scope and responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate that you have the ability to perform the duties of the position. Note: Your calculation of experience must be based on full-time, 40-hour work weeks. Part-time experience must be pro-rated. Example: Twelve months of experience at 20 hours/week is equivalent to six months of experience, not one year. Also, hours worked in excess of 40 hours/week will not be credited. Example: Twelve months of experience at 60 hours/week is equivalent to one year of experience, not one and a half years.
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Excess experience of the types and quality described below; or other progressively responsible administrative, professional, investigational, technical, or analytical experience may be substituted for Education on a year-for-year basis. General Experience: Four years of progressively responsible, professional, technical, administrative, investigational, or other maritime experience. Such experience must show ability to deal effectively with fellow workers, business contacts and/or the general public, to recognize, analyze and resolve management and operational problems and to accept responsibility. Administrative Experience: One year of administrative work experience involving maritime affairs. This experience must have included active participation in and major responsibility for the development, management, execution and coordination of the following types of activities: 1) policy determination; 2) budget preparation and execution; and 3) planning, developing and directing various maritime operations and/or facilities. 17325:090382:35:NC |
