Job Title: Part-time Recreation Leader: Volunteer Resources

 Essential Duties:
• Overseeing day-to-day operations of volunteer recruitment and training.
• Event planning and coordination
• Public speaking and outreach
• Able to travel to offsite events.
• Performs various clerical/receptionist duties such as answering phone calls, greeting customers, implementation of a resources pool and volunteer corps.
• Completes or assists in all tasks necessary for the completion of special event set-up including moving tables and chairs, cleaning building, restrooms or other areas as necessary.

 Education/Experience, Licenses, Knowledge and Skills, Physical Requirements:

Education/Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
• Experience in recreation programming, customer service, volunteer recruitment, training and management
• Special event planning and coordination
• Public speaking and outreach
• Must be able to work a variety of hours, Sunday-Saturday, daytime and evenings.
• Must be able to work mostly weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• CPR/First Aide certified preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• This job entails fiduciary responsibility and will require a credit check.

Knowledge & Skills:
• Development and implementation of programs and special event and activities for volunteers and community.
• Skill in interpersonal relations, customer service, computer and developing resource programs.

Physical Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require: reaching, extensive sitting, manual dexterity for the purpose of keyboarding, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Exerting up to 70 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects.
