The City Attorney’s Office is seeking immediate full-time employment for an Assistant City Attorney II. To be considered for the Assistant City Attorney II position, applicant must have graduated from an accredited college of law and have active membership in The Florida Bar with three (3) years professional legal experience, preferably in city, county or local government law. Preference will be given to those with at least three (3) years of professional experience as a prosecutor of criminal law in Florida, as well as experience in civil litigation. To qualify for this position you must possess a high school diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED); journey level knowledge and skill in at least one of the following disciplines and apprentice level knowledge and skill in at least one other: plant operations, mechanical maintenance, or instrumentation/control/electrical maintenance, and three (3) years of operational and maintenance experience at a central utility plant, oil refinery, chemical plant, fossil or nuclear power plant, fossil or nuclear ship propulsion, pulp or paper mill or other similar process plant For all of the openings, operations must be one of the skills held by the candidate. The openings are targeted for two (2) having mechanical maintenance experience and two (2) having instrumentation/control/electrical maintenance experience as the other skill minimum. *** GRU - ENERGY SUPPLY *** Do you have experience scheduling, planning, and inventory and procurement services for power plant maintenance? If so, GRU’s Energy Supply Department is looking for you! To be considered for the Power Plant Maintenance Planner position, applicants must have graduated from high school or possess a GED with additional engineering/technical coursework completed; and six (6) years in power plant maintenance, operations, or engineering of steam generating units and related equipment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills and ability. Preference may be given to current GRU/City of Gainesville employees Previous Power Plant experience in maintenance or construction, inventory/purchasing, and creating/managing work orders preferred. Experience with computerized preventative maintenance programs, including working knowledge of programs such as MP2, SAP, Maximo, etc., highly desired. Experience with predictive maintenance as well as critical path software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera also preferred. |
