Instruction may target preschool through seniors. Proposals for class ideas, other than those listed, will gladly be accepted at individual centers. Designs course outline and instructs a recreational activity such as: Fitness Consumer Issues Music Arts Martial Arts Gymnastics Sports Dance Science Cuisine Educational Workshops Wellness Gardening Computers Aerobics Personal Enhancement Tennis IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED, OR HIRED, AFTER 4 MONTHS AND WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A POSITION, YOU WILL NEED TO RE-APPLY. | Examples of Duties Performed - Duties may include but are not limited to the following: | |
| Develop course outline for program to meet stated objectives. Responsible for keeping accurate records, time sheets, and attendance. Responsible for providing a safe environment and implementing solutions to hazards. Attend orientation meetings. May purchase supplies. May be responsible for room set-up and clean-up. Responsible for providing a program/class atmosphere that promotes and encourages inclusion satisfaction of all participants. May be asked to promote/market activity. May assist in training volunteers and assistants. Develop and maintain good public relations with staff and public. Follows procedures and policies as set by the City and Recreation Division. Supports and respects diversity in the workplace. Performs other related duties as assigned. |

| Ability to: Communicate well both orally and in writing. Work in cooperation with staff and the public. Identify hazards, implement solutions, and maintain a safe environment. Work within the policies and guidelines set by the City. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job. License or Certificate Position may require current First Aid and CPR certification. Position may require a current fitness certification. MUST PASS A CRIMINAL RECORDS CHECK. |
