THE POSITION
Assist staff with assigned projects such as Jumpstart Iowa, Neighborhood Stabilization Program, HUD environmental reviews, the Drake Neighborhood Plan, and other neighborhood development activities. The position(s) will require the ability to complete preliminary housing and real estate research, work with Jumpstart Iowa applicants, assist with completing the HUD environmental review process, and neighborhood analysis. Perform any other related tasks as assigned.

ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Qualified applicants must currently be pursuing a degree from a college or university with major coursework in Urban Planning, Housing, GIS or a related field. Computer skills are required, especially Microsoft Office. Junior or Senior –Year undergraduates or recent graduates preferred. Possession of a valid Iowa Driver’s License or proof of equivalent mobility.

College transcripts must be provided as documentation of coursework along with a completed application. If possess out-of-state driver's license, driving record must be provided.

REQUIRED SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education and experience of qualified applications will be evaluated and scored. Those applicants deemed most qualified will be considered for appointment.
