Current non-limited employees (excludes temporary status) may apply for each vacancy as posted through the Internal Job Opportunities process (including transfer, promotion and voluntary demotion). All current non-limited employees who meet the minimum qualifications for the classification will be referred to the hiring department for interview consideration.
Internal applicants must submit an on-line application by the posted deadline date. In most cases, when an internal candidate is selected to fill a vacancy, a close-out performance review is completed pursuant to the County's Merit Compensation Plan. The employee's review date will be adjusted and a new probationary period shall be served unless indicated otherwise.
