| The Contra Costa County Health Services Department is recruiting individuals interested in the field of pharmacy services for the position of Pharmacist I.
Under supervision, Pharmacists I perform professional pharmaceutical work in the compounding and dispensing of prescriptions and drugs at pharmacies located County-wide throughout the Health Services Department and keeps records of drugs, poisons, and narcotics as required by Federal and State law. |

| Minimum Qualifications: | |
| License Required: Possession of a Valid License to practice Pharmacy in California.
Special Requirement: Completion of training or experience either concurrent with or subsequent to formal education leading to licensure which would have provided knowledge of unit dose and IV additive concepts. Other Requirements: Prior to employment, a background investigation will be conducted. Fingerprints will be taken. |

2. Examination: The examination will consist of an evaluation of each candidate's relevant education, training and/or experience as presented on the application and the supplemental questionnaire. Candidates will receive a rating of 70 for meeting the minimum qualifications. Additional points will be awarded to those candidates who possess related education, training, and/or experience beyond the minimum qualifications. The names of candidates will be placed on an employment list in rank order for a period of six (6) months. (Weighted 100%) The Human Resources Department may change the examination steps noted above in accordance with Personnel Management Regulations and accepted selection practices.
