| Contra Costa County Health Services Department is recruiting individuals on a continuous basis to fill both entry level Occupational Therapist positions. Therapists may be assigned to the Contra Costa Regional Medical Centeror the California Children Services Programs located throughout the County.
Occupational Therapist I is an entry level classification requiring no experience. Employees in this class perform a full range of general therapy treatments while developing and learning the skills and knowledge necessary to apply more advanced and/or specialized treatments. |

| Minimum Qualifications: | |
| Certificate: Possession of a current License or limited Permit to practice as an Occupational Therapist issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
Experience: None required. Other Requirements: Prior to employment, a background investigation will be conducted. Fingerprints will be taken. |

| 1. Application Filing: Applicants must file an official Contra Costa County employment application and supplemental questionnaire with the Health Services Personnel Department. 2. Examination: The examination for each class will consist of an evaluation of each candidate’s relevant education, training, and/or experience as presented on the application and the supplemental questionnaire. Candidates will receive a rating of 70% for meeting the minimum qualifications. Additional points will be awarded to those candidates who possess related education, training, and/or experience beyond the minimum qualifications. The names of successful candidates will be placed on an employment list in rank order for a period of six months. (Weighted 100%) The Human Resources Department may make changes to the examination steps noted above in accordance with Personnel Management Regulations and accepted selection practices.
