| The Contra Costa County Health Services Department is recruiting individuals to fill entry level Radiological Technologist positions which may be assigned to the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center in Martinez or to the Health Services Department outpatient health centers located in Richmond or Pittsburg.
Junior Radiologic Technologist is an entry-level position that performs general technical radiologic procedures including the taking, developing, and storing of x-ray films. Individuals appointed to this position also learn to perform a variety of more specialized radiologic procedures; are responsible for the radiological procedures in an assigned x-ray room and do other related work as required. |

| Minimum Qualifications: | |
| Certificate Required: Possession of a valid certificate in General Diagnostic Radiological Technology issued by the State of California Department of Health and a Basic Life Support certification (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or CPR certification issued by the American Red Cross is required.
Experience: - None Required. Prior to employment, a background investigation will be conducted. Fingerprints will be taken. |

2. Examination: The examination will consist of an evaluation of each candidate’s relevant education, training, and/or experience as presented on the application and supplemental questionnaire. Candidates will receive a rating of 70% for meeting the minimum qualifications. Additional points will be awarded to those candidates who possess related education, training, and/or experience beyond the minimum qualifications. The names of candidates will be placed on an employment list in rank order for a period of six (6) months. (Weighted 100%) The Human Resources Department may make changes to the examination steps noted above in accordance with Personnel Management Regulations and accepted selection practices. |
